Poo Prints FAQ – Keeping Our Community Clean & Green
At Ledge on Lakeshore, we take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment for everyone—both two-legged and four-legged residents. That’s why we’ve introduced Poo Prints, a unique program designed to ensure that pet waste is properly disposed of, keeping our shared spaces pristine and odor-free.
Here’s everything you need to know about our Poo Prints program:
Q: What is Poo Prints? A: Poo Prints is a pet waste management program that helps us identify and track pet waste in the community. Every dog living in our community is registered with a DNA sample, and this information is used to identify waste left in common areas.
Q: Why do we need the Poo Prints program? A: The program helps us ensure that all pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, keeping our community clean and pleasant for everyone. It also helps reduce any negative environmental impact of pet waste.
Q: How does it work? A: When a pet’s waste is found in the common areas, it is collected and sent for DNA testing. If the waste belongs to your pet, you will receive a notice and a small fine. If you're ever unsure, simply make sure you clean up after your pet immediately!
Q: What happens if I don't clean up after my pet? A: Our goal is to encourage responsible pet ownership and keep our community beautiful. Failing to clean up after your pet could result in fines and potentially a review of your pet's status in the community. We believe this system helps everyone be more mindful of pet waste, which creates a healthier environment for all residents.
Q: Is this program effective?
A: Absolutely! The program has already made a significant impact in reducing pet waste and encouraging pet owners to follow community guidelines. It’s a simple, innovative solution that benefits everyone.
Together, we can maintain a clean, green, and welcoming space for all our residents and their pets. Let’s work together to keep Ledge the best place for both you and your furry companions!
